WhatDo

WhatDo – Clothing company celebrating autistic individuals and neurodiversity

The Cultural Inclusion Manifesto should be required reading for every single cultural institution. We at WhatDo are artists ourselves, avid art goers, supporters of artists, and advocates of access and inclusion for disabled art goers and artists, including autistic individuals. We are in it for the long haul to ensure that policy and decision makers are aware of how current access and inclusion policies are not working. We need more than one relaxed performance per 250 shows, more than one relaxed morning per month for museums and cultural institutions, we need more exhibitions of the work of disabled artists, we need more disabled individuals on cultural institution boards, we need an acceptance of different viewing parameters, we need to educate cultural institutions more (come visit special schools!).
